California Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project Web-based Mathematical Analysis Readiness Test The only purpose of this test is to indicate the extent of your understanding and facility with some important concepts and skills. At the end of the test you will submit your answers for scoring. You will then have an opportunity to review your performance on each question. You will also see your total score and your score on the topics covered by the test. These results may help you focus additional study to be better prepared for a precalculus course. The topics and items on this test reflect those on the MDTP Mathematical Analysis Readiness Tests (MR) administered by many California schools. This web-based test can provide an indication of how well prepared you are for any of those tests. The topic areas included in this test are.
- Exponents, Logarithms, and Radicals
- Functions and their Graphs
- Geometry
- Linear Equations, Linear Inequalities, Absolute Values of Linear Expressions, and their Graphs
- Polynomials, including Quadratic Equations
- Rational Expressions
You should not take this test until you have studied these topics. It may be helpful to review some before taking the test. To get an indication of your level of preparation for an MDTP MR test, you should take this test under test-like conditions, by yourself with no reference materials and in a limited time. You should have paper and pencil available for working problems or noting problems that you may want to come back to later. |
